This Little Venice period property was reimagined through a sensitive yet transformative refurbishment, balancing architectural heritage with contemporary comfort. With Designed by Woulfe, our interior desingers London undertook a full back-to-brick renovation, creating a warm, layered home that feels both elegant and deeply personal.
The project involved a complete internal overhaul, allowing the layout and finishes to be rethought from the ground up. By coordinating the design holistically from room to room, the interiors feel cohesive and considered, while still retaining a sense of individuality within each space.
Natural materials - including richly stained timber and marble - form the foundation of the scheme, bringing warmth, depth and longevity throughout the home.
The dining area evokes the intimacy of a French bistro, designed for informal gatherings and shared moments. A bespoke window seat wraps around the custom marble dining table, creating a cosy focal point within the room.
An elegant pendant light anchors the space, while a discreet bar area adds a sense of occasion without overwhelming the room.
Specialist wall finishes were introduced to add depth and individuality throughout the home. Decorative wall panelling, hand-finished surfaces and carefully selected wallpapers bring texture and nuance to each space.
In the ensuite bathroom, a hand-painted mural softens the architecture, while layered lighting and bespoke joinery enhance the sense of quiet luxury.

Knocking down a structural wall, we opened up the living area and transformed what was once a small bedroom into an open-plan, bespoke luxury kitchen. Enlisting several specialist suppliers for their combined craftsmanship expertise, the end result is a smart yet characterful kitchen. Cabinets were given a hand-painted pitted champagne liquid leaf finish and all appliances were placed to integrate beautifully. Bespoke blinds by Material Concepts dress the large south-west facing windows without drawing too much attention or taking up a lot of space.
The guest bedroom was transformed into a bespoke, open-plan kitchen space through structural reconfiguration. Custom cabinetry, finished with a hand-applied liquid metal effect, introduces richness and subtle reflectivity.
Marble surfaces and carefully integrated appliances ensure the kitchen feels both practical and expressive - a true centrepiece of the home.
The principal bedroom was designed with its north-facing aspect in mind. Warmer tones were introduced to create a cocooning, restful environment, offsetting the cooler natural light.
