A Sophisticated New York Penthouse Living Space

Despite being sky-high, this luxury penthouse in the Hell’s Kitchen district of New York has a grounded and peaceful feel, owing in part to the neutral, earthy palette and subtle contrast of natural textures.

Combining a neutral wall palette with soft furnishings of similar tones enabled us to make the most of the space’s brilliant light. Sophisticated details and pops of colour are introduced by way of a Swan chair in gorgeous tan and side tables fashioned from marble and bronze, designed in the style of lily pads.

A pair of blue ABC armchairs sit on top a silk rug from Stark rugs.
A wooden toped coffee table creates a warm focal point in this living room.

Designed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform, this architectural constructed Wing sofa is made up of geometric shapes and adds a sense of structure without looking too imposing.

Matching A.B.C.D. armchairs from Flexform featured here in a pale blue fabric look best in a pair, positioned side by side.

An oval-shaped wood and chrome coffee table by Flexform is both practical and elegant and a great addition to any living space.

Organic Shapes and Natural Materials

The organic shapes of these cocktail tables by Tom Faulkner are inspired by tall lily pads. Another Tom Faulkner design incorporated into the space is this more dramatic-looking glass and metal Ariel Square side table.

For casual extra seating, this pouf in natural canvas with natural leather piping designed by Cecilie Manz for Fritz Hansen is the perfect addition.

A grey tonal rug with a high pile by Stark gives a warm and cosy feel to the living area.
